For thousands of years meditation gurus have been using “Mantras” to focus their meditative thoughts to a singular purpose. Some of the most simple mantras are the “ommm” or “ahhh” sounds found commonly throughout Eastern religions.
The sound of ahhhh is commonly referred to the sound of creation. If you analyze most names for God, you’ll find that they incorporate the sound of ahhh phonetically. For instance, God sounds like “G ahhhhhh D”.
With this knowledge, you can activate the source of creation by repeating the sound of “ahhh”. While using this sound, focus your thoughts on what you desire to create. What you visualize while using the sound of “ah” will send out focused signals to the universe to bring you what you desire.
Let’s take this concept a step further.
Creating your own personal mantra can be of tremendous benefit to you because it allows you to create a focused message that you resonate with during your meditation. You can start with a simple term such as “love”. While meditating, repeat the word love in a steady and relaxed fashion in your mind. This creates the vibrations of love in your energy, and consequentially brings more love energy into your life.
If you are suffering from depression, anxiety, or stress then you can use a mantra that is directly opposed to those emotions, such as “Joy”. Again, repeat the word joy in your mind during meditation and you will begin receiving more and more joyful events and feelings in your life.
These mantras definitely do not need to be limited to one or two words. They can be entire phrases!
Let’s say you have a desire to completely overhaul your life. You’re not happy with your job, you want to receive more money, and your physical condition is lacking. All change and action comes from thought, so spark that change with intention and create your own mantra!
So let’s examine: You want more happiness, more money, and to be physically fit. Start the mantra off with a proclamation of the reality you desire, such as “I am”. Then add the results you wish to desire …
“I am happy, rich, and fit” or “I am joyful, wealthy, and healthy”.
There you have it, your own personal mantra tailored to your own desires and contrast in life. Now, to maximize the results of your mantra, use it beyond your meditation sessions. While working, commuting to work, doing the dishes, falling asleep, repeat the mantra to yourself! Again, the signals of creation are sent out as you repeat the mantra.
One last thing, don’t be afraid to adjust and change your mantra. Your energy changes, and so do your desires and goals. Change your inner mantra to fit your present reality.
